We are inviting readers to submit suggestions for our charity of the year.
The chosen charity will receive a financial lump sum from Horse & Hound, as well as a number of opportunities to work with us during the next 12 months.
“With the current horse welfare crisis, an important equestrian legacy from the 2012 Olympics to sustain, and the hunting world having laboured under the Hunting Act for 9 years now, there are so many charities which deserve our support,” said H&H Editor Lucy Higginson.
“Horse & Hound has worked closely with many of them for decades and we know better than most the challenges they face.
“What a fitting way to celebrate our important birthday milestone, by giving one of them additional support, with the help of our hundreds of thousands of reader and website users.”
The “lump sum” will be an amount donated by H&H readers through a new charity donation option in our online advert booking system, which will be matched by Horse & Hound.
How to suggest a charity
- To be eligible for consideration the good cause must be a registered charity that works with equines in the UK.
- International charities will be considered if they are based in or work in the UK as well as overseas.
- H&H will review all charities submitted and draw up a shortlist, which will then be open to a reader vote. The charity with the most public votes will be announced as the H&H charity of the year in H&H’s 130th birthday issue (17 April).
- Use the form below to submit a charity. Submissions must be received by 5pm on 7 March, 2014.
