Arena UK says it made the decision to cancel its British Showjumping Premier Show (16-19 January) just two days it was due to start because of a lack of entries.
“We are extremely disappointed, but cannot afford to run at a loss,” said proprietor Lauren Humphries.
“We remain committed to delivering shows with good prize-money and good facilities, but need competitor support.”
A new £100,000 extension to the indoor arena will start on 20 January, with completion scheduled for March.
