Riding for the Disabled offers online dressage competitions

  • The Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) recently partnered with Dressage Anywhere — the worldwide dressage competition website — to give riders greater opportunities to compete.

This year the RDA hosted its first online championships, which allowed disabled riders to film and submit tests to be marked.

FEI 5* international para judge Sarah Leitch judged the championship.

“I enjoyed judging the tests as it was great to watch all the different riders and horses and see what they achieve,” she said.

“The RDA Online Championships are an ideal way for riders to progress their riding”.

The winning riders this year were Emma Suttle of Barrow Farm RDA, Essex, Tracy Yarnell of Kesteven Rideability, Lincolnshire,  Peggy Holden of Buckingham House Group RDA, Buckinghamshire, Joanne Restarick of Tradissar RDA, Hampshire and Mary Leigh of Mid Cheshire RDA.

Qualifiers for the 2014 RDA Online Championships are now running till the end of March and are open to any disabled rider.
