Stonar School, in Wiltshire, which has hosted British Eventing (BE) competitions for 18 years, has called time on it’s affiliated horse trials competitions.
The school said the decision to stop hosting the events was due to increased demand on its equestrian facilities from its pupils. The popular grass-roots event had previously offered classes from BE90 to novice.
Director of riding at Stonar Darrell Scaife said: “BE have been incredibly understanding and supportive of our decision. We look forward to continuing our relationship within the sport by offering regular BE training events, alongside hosting various training camps for the BE youth eventing programmes”
Stonar is expended to announce that it will be extending its facilities to include an expansive area for fitness work and a designated hacking route, all within the school’s 80-acre site.
