Man charged after loose horses cause fatal crash

  • A man will appear in court charged with causing a public nuisance after his horses were involved in a fatal accident on the A14 on Christmas Eve last year.

Stacy Humphrys, 27, will appear in court on 20 November.

Thomas Allen, 23, was fatally injured when his car crashed into the horses at Sproughton on the A14 in Suffolk. He died from his injuries on Christmas Day 2012.

3 horses, including a mare and a foal, were also killed in the accident.

The westbound stretch of the A14 was closed for more than 12 hours after the accident while investigators tried to establish what had happened.
