Event squad named

  • Selectors have announced the Hartpury College-sponsored squad, which will represent Britain in the forthcoming young rider European Eventing Championships in Bialy Bor, Poland on September 24-27.

Three members of last year’s silver medal team have been selected once again: Kitty Boggis (Five Boys), Matthew Wright (Park Pilot) and Georgie Davies (Fachoudette).

They are joined by Abigail Walters (Uther Pendragon II), who was a reserve last year, and newcomers Rachel Thompson (Uptons Daily Circus) and Brett Kenyon (Henbury Hallmark or Tambourine Man III).

The named reserves are Jade Lazenby (Captain Scarlet) and Charlotte Littlefield (Jacko’s Delight).

Chef d’Equipe Nick Burd, Team Vet Mark Lucey and the horses will leave for Poland on Friday September 19. The riders will fly out three days later.
