Dutch dressage rider to marry British-based eventer


  • The Dutch international dressage rider Leida Strijk,who is currently based in England, is to marry the Bermudanevent rider Tim Collins.

    The pair, who have been together for some time, are to marry on 28th July in Bermuda where Tim’s parents are based.

    The couple will continue to live at Stretcholt Farm Stud,Somerset,from where they can pursue their competition careers.

    After some bad luck with injury to horses, Badmintonrider Tim now has five horses to compete.

    Leida,who trains with Diederik Wigmans, has been competing successfully in England over the winter on her threerides – Magic Michael, Kennedy and Just Mickey – and will continue to ride for Holland after she is married.
