Canadian dressage gets new special advisor

  • Former British Horse Society president Desi Dillingham MBE is to become special adviser to the Canadian dressage team.

A Canadian, Ms Dillingham has lived in England for the past 40 years and been heavily involved in British dressage. She said she was “delighted” to be advising her home country.

“I believe Canada has the talent and, with transparency, trust and teamwork, we can make our mark on the global scene,” she said.

The Canadian dressage team was eliminated in London 2012 when David Marcus’ horse (pictured below) spooked in heavy rain and he was unable to regain control within the 10sec allowed.
