Armathwaite Hall horse trials cancelled

  • Armathwaite Hall horse trials has been cancelled due to a lack of sponsorship

The Armathwaite Hall Horse Trials and Country Fair, scheduled to take place on 19-21 July, has been cancelled.

The Lake District event was due to run pre-novice, novice and advanced sections, plus the PERA Global Masters and Armathwaite Hall Classic section, alongside a large country fair.

The event was previously sponsored by Strongid-P.

Charles Graves, joint organiser of the event, said the cancellation was partly due to being unable to secure sponsorship.

“Last year’s significant cancellation costs, due to the FMD crisis, were also a factor in our decision,” he said.

“The ever-increasing costs of staging top level horse trials make sponsorship support a necessity, rather than a luxury.”
