New venue for top endurance ride

  • The international 200km Al Maktoum Cup is moving north to take place around Lake Blessington

The FEI three star 200km Al Maktoum Cup endurance ride, which is taking place on 21-22 August, has a new venue this year.

The event is moving 10 miles north of its original home, Donard, to Valleymount, a small village on the shores of Lake Blessington in Co Wicklow.

The new route for both the Al Maktoum Cup and the two-star 100km Rambo Cup, sponsored by Horseware Ireland, will take in a complete loop of the lake before moving into the surrounding hills. There will be one vetgate, as before, at the new venue.
