International team rider Kirsty Mepham has moved to a new base in Sussex with her grand prix partner Dikkiloo
Kirsty Mepham has moved from her former Gloucestershire base with Hans and Marina Rietveld to set up shop at Wayne and Deborah Channon’s yard near Haywards Heath.
“I’m making a fresh start back home in Sussex and plan to start small with just a handful of boxes,” says Kirsty, who took part in the ‘All the Queen’s Horses’ extravaganza at Windsor.
“The Channon’s generously offered me this opportunity and being close to both Dane [Rawlins] and my parents, it seemed the ideal opportunity.”
Kirsty has moved her grand prix partner Dikkiloo to her new base and is also planning to have several youngsters from Holland to bring on and sell, together with schooling/competition liveries.
“It’s a year of new beginnings,” she says. “I’m about to finishmy college course in June, which will qualify me as a human sports therapist and then I’d like to go on and train to work on horses too.
“My aim is to combine riding and teaching with a small mobile sports therapist unit at shows where I can combine work on both riders and their horses.”
