Dressage action from Hickstead

  • Adam Kemp and Aderro Joyski win the Intermediaire II at Hickstead’s Premier League Show

Adam Kemp and Aderro Joyski (pictured) enjoyed a successful start to Hickstead’s Premier League show by winning the Intermediaire II with 65.61%.

Adam rode the nine-year-old Russian-bred gelding to victory snatching the title from long-standing leaders, Henrietta Cheetham and Lorelei who had to settle for second on 63.66%.Owned by Rhegan White and Roger Maggs, Aderro Joyski was imported from Germany two years ago and this is his first season in big tour classes.

“He felt the best he’s ever felt today” said a delighted Adam. “He made a few typical nine-year-old mistakes, but he’s only just started and is still green at this level”.

Judge at C, Sally Merrison said, “The winning test was very forward and fluent. Adam rode an attacking test. It was also great to see other new combinations having a go”.

To date, this duo has now been placed in all Premier League Classes and promises to be an exciting partnership.
