After a break of 17 years the Crabbet Convention is taking place in Britain
Arabian horse enthusiasts from around the world will be flying in to Britain this autumn for the first Crabbet Convention to take place in the UK for 17 years.
The event is being held over the weekend of 20-22 September and will include a parade of the best of British-bred Arabians. Two ridden Arabians of the year will be attending, along with HOYS winners and a line-up of leading Arab racehorses and endurance horses.
Crabbet bloodlines still form the basis of some of the world’s finest Arabian performance horses and this convention aims to promote andprotect the purity and heritage of the Crabbet Arabian.
Merrist Wood College in Surrey, will host the opening ceremony on Saturday 21 September with a parade of horses.
The weekend will also include a visit to Lady Blunt’s Crabbet Park Stud.
An international panel including Coralie Gordon (AUS), Michael Bowling (USA), Betty Finke (GER) and Peter Upton (UK) will chair the conference itself on Sunday, 22 September.
Seating at all the events is by pre-booked ticket only and places will be limited. For more details, contact Caroline Sussex (tel: 01264 738343) or email Binleystud@aol.com
