When the idea of a Tynedale nude calendar was first mooted, the hunt’s photographer took some convincing.
“I said no — it had been done to death,” said Verity Johnson.
How wrong she was.
Not only has the 2013 calendar sold out, but it has also appeared in The Field and The Sun. And now it has been picked up by men’s magazine Penthouse.
The April models — Jenny Dunlop and Jade Hunter — will appear in a feature about charity calendars.
Jade (pictured) admits she is a “bit apprehensive” about becoming a “Penthouse pet”.
“But I don’t mind as all the money is going to the Great North Air Ambulance, which is close to all our hearts,” she said.
So is Jade, a groom, tempted to leave the day job?
“No way,” she laughed. “It was a giggle, but the coldest, windiest day ever — it was absolutely freezing when we dropped our dressing gowns.”
