Julian Barnfield testimonial meet postponed due to bad weather

  • The testimonial meet for retired Heythrop huntsman Julian Barnfield has been postponed due to the wet weather.

The meet was due to take place tomorrow (12 February).

Julian was the huntsman at the centre of the Heythrop court case that caused a furore when it emerged that the RSPCA had spent £326,000 on the prosecution.

He retired from hunt service in November after 21 seasons as a professional huntsman, which included hunting the Bramham Moor, the Worcestershire and the Cotswold as well as the Heythrop.

Donations can be made by cheque to: Julian Barnfield Fund, c/o Lower Farm, Bould, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, OX7 6RT.

The meet will be rearranged. For more information contact heythrophunt@googlemail.com
