Race named after eventer Mary King at Exeter


  • Six-times Olympian Mary King is being honoured with a race named after her at Exeter today (11 October).

    The Mary King Beginners’ Steeplechase is one of six races on the card at the track’s opening fixture of the season.

    Mary said the race was “a great honour”. She will be judging the best turned out and presenting the prize.

    Paralympic rider Deb Criddle will also be attending and there will be free entry for all Devon and Cornwall-based London 2012 games makers.
