Thousands of runners will take to the streets of London today (Sunday 22 April), for the London Marathon.
Many come from an equestrian background or are running for an equine cause and need your support.
The 26.2mile route will take runners around London, starting in Greenwich Park, around Docklands, past Tower Hill and along the Embankment and finishing at St James’s Park.
Thirteen will be sweating it out for Racing Welfare – trainer George Baker, Racing UK’s Seb Vance, Channel 4 Racing’s Hannah Walker will be running in a trio with Nick Walker and Veryan Gould, Warwick racecourse team of Huw Williams, Melissa Stark and Lee Moulson, jockey’s valet Andrew Hardacre, conditional jockey Will Pettis, amateur jockey Niall Halley, Marco Botti’s head lad Alex Cairns and Kirsty Durham from Hascombe Stud.

Seven will run for World Horse Welfare, Sarah Butler, Annalise Roper, Mike Short and Katie Snalune.
Jessica Stewart and Lydia Waites are running for the Riding For The Disabled Association.
Four runners are fundraising for the Countryside Alliance – Isabel Bacon, Rhys Wilson and Edward and William Smyth-Osbourne.
And 31 runners will set out in aid of The Blue Cross aiming to raise £40,000.
Seven people are running for the The Animal Health Trust – including deputy chief executive of the charity Dr Mark Vaudin.
Intelligent horsemanship supporter Wil Robinson is running for Bristol-based charity HorseWorld.
Three staff members from Lakeview vets are running for World Society for Protection of Animals.
Head groom at Emile Faurie’s yard Kelly Lainsbury is running for the Emile Faurie Foundation.
Laura Clarke is running head injuries charity Headway and Charles Massey, who sells coffee at BE events for charity, will be running for Spinal Research — see @charliecoffee on Twitter.
