Best of breed? Become a New Forest pony for the day

  • Fancy becoming the best turned out New Forest pony — on two legs?

If so, then get down to Sway Village Hall near Lymington, Hampshire, on Saturday, 23 July, for a special art workshop and the chance to make your own New Forest pony costume.

The event is free and participants will be mentored by artist Charlie Murphy, before heading out into the forest to parade in their costumes and take part in a photo shoot. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes and there will be rosettes for all ‘ponies’.

The day runs from 10am-4pm and all ages are welcome. The workshop is being run as part of the London 2012 Open weekend, which is designed to generate interest in, and awareness of, next year’s Olympics.

To book a place contact Emma Purchase on 01590 682260 (then dial extension 2), or emma.purchase@artsway.org.uk
