A thermography seminar for equestrian professionals is being hosted by Veterinary Thermal Imaging (VTI) later this year.
Thermography is a tool used by an increasing number of vets to detect minor temperature changes within the horse’s body using a specialist camera.
This imaging tool is no more invasive than a conventional camera, but can be used, with veterinary surgeons, to help quickly and efficiently highlight problem areas.
It is the first thermography seminar in the UK and will be hosted by US vet Dr Tracy Turner.
“The interest in thermography has been growing amongst vets and other professionals,” said Helen Morrell, managing director of VTI.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome Dr Turner to the UK. His knowledge in this field is truly amazing and he gives seminars across the world.
“This is an amazing opportunity for vets, chiropractors, physiotherapists, farriers and other equestrian professionals who work with equine anatomy,” said Helen.
The seminar takes place at Abingdon and Witney College, Oxfordshire in November (dates to be confirmed) and costs £500+VAT, with a limited number of subsidised places available for vets.
The fee includes food during the seminar, but the attendee must book their own accommodation.
