Bank helps employee excel in dressage

  • A dressage rider has been selected for a £1,000 sponsorship deal by her employer — the bank Santander.

Suzie Campbell, a Devon-based regional mortgages manager, has been selected to join the bank’s Sporting Heroes scheme, which recognises employees’ sporting achievements.

The cash will help out with training and equipment costs, which help Suzie out when she competes at the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships next week (13-17 April).

“Over the past 12 years, I have worked my way through the ranks and I’m on track to achieve my goal of competing at prix st george level,” said Suzie.

“I am absolutely delighted that I have been selected as it will really help out with entry fees and all the associated costs in keeping and training a high-level competition horse.”

Anoushka Brown of Santander said: “The Sporting Heroes scheme aims to give a helping hand to staff who are excelling in their chosen sport. The applications we received this year were all of a really high standard; Suzie was one of seven staff who received awards. We look forward to tracking Suzie’s progress over the coming year and wish her every success.”
