Fully Loaded, last year’s national leading point-to-pointer, will miss the remainder of the 2010-11 season due to injury.
Owned by Dulverton’s Andrew and Linda Pugsley, ridden by their daughters Emma and Lucy and trained by the sisters’ grandfather Gerald Greenway, Fully Loaded won nine races in 2009-10.
He made a winning reappearance at Black Forest Lodge in November, before finishing fourth at Wadebridge (12 December).
The 11-year-old was found to be lame after a routine canter on New Year’s Eve.
“He was scanned on 5 January and has tweaked a tendon,” said Linda.
“He’s at home with us and you wouldn’t know there was anything wrong with him, but he’s definitely out for the season.”
