Organic Farmers & Growers Ltd has granted organic status to Verm-X smallholder range of internal parasite control.
Verm X is the first internal parasite control to earn an organic certification.
Organic Farmers & Growers Ltd is the control body for organic products, accredited by Defra.
Verm-X managing director, Philip Ghazala, says: “Becoming certified as organic is fantastic news for Verm-X. Organic farmers can now use the certified Verm-X products without worry when veterinary advice is sought.”
The organic-certified products include Verm-X for sheep and goats, for horses and ponies, for poultry, ducks and fowl and for pigs.
Verm X was recently also awarded a 2010 Ethical Accreditation by the Ethical Company Organisation.
