Shire horses from Daniel Thwaites brewery are heading for their holidays.
Two shires — Wainwright and Midas — will be touring Britain’s seaside towns over the next two weeks.
The horses were at Blackpool on Tuesday and will be appearing at Brighton, Portsmouth, Southampton and the New Forest.
Their seaside tour marks the 50th anniversary since the arrival of shire horses at the Lancashire brewery.
Daniel Thwaites spokesman Carol Shearer said: “The shires rarely get the chance to visit the south of the country, which made it the ideal place for the horses to go on holiday.
“Members of the public can expect to see them having fun at some of the UK’s most loved seaside resorts, as well as enjoying a pint or two at some of the local pubs.”
Thwaites head groom Charles Bearmore, head coachman, Richard Green and stable team member Jonathan Jones are accompanying Wainwright and Midas on their tour.
You can see the horses at Brighton on Tuesday, 24 August, and Portsmouth, Southampton and Lyndhurst on Wednesday, 25 August.
