Paralympian Lee Pearson to tie the knot this summer

  • Nine times Paralympic Gold medallist Lee Pearson, is set to tie the knot this summer.

Lee is to enter a civil partnership with Mark Latham at Ashbourne Town Hall in Derbyshire on Saturday 7 August.

“I can’t wait to be the husband of Mr Mark Latham, soon to be Mr Mark Pearson!” said Lee.

“I am one of the luckiest people alive to have found someone who accepts me for who I am, in all areas of my life.

“We complement each other’s personalities and it is going to be a very exciting future, a future that we want to celebrate on our wedding day with all the people we love and care for.”

Lee and Mark have invited 90 guests to the ceremony and will be joined by up to 400 at a party afterwards.

Lee and Mark met in April 2009 and after three months Mark popped the question at a barbecue at fellow Paralympian’s Ricky Balshaw’s house.
