You have just over a week to tell the team researching the financial and logistical impact of an outbreak of African Horse Sickness in the UK what foot and mouth style movement restrictions would mean for you and your horses.
The results of the review will inform Defra and the horse industry’s contingency plans for if the deadly disease should hit our shores
Agricultural economist Keith Allison, of Reading University, said: “We want to know how you and your horse would be affected if you could not travel away from the area that you normally exercise in for a period of say twelve months and could not take you horse to shows, events or other gatherings.”
He also wants to know what riding disciplines you would normally take part in each year and if a movement restriction would mean you having to sell your horse.
