A North Wales woman is due in court tomorrow (Thursday 23 April) to face charges of cruelty relating to 69 horses.
Dawn Rose, 49, of Pontfadog near Chirk, faces 21 charges of causing unnecessary suffering by failing to provide an adequate diet or veterinary treatment for her horses.
RSPCA inspectors, working with Wrexham District Council and World Horse Welfare, removed the horses from Ms Rose’s farm in October 2008.
They are alleged to have been in an emaciated state and suffering from rainscald and parasites. Three subsequently had to be put to sleep.
The plea hearing will be held at Wrexham Magistrates Court.
