Horse dies after being hit by a car in Cheshire


  • A horse has died after being hit by a car in Cheshire.

    The accident happened on Middlewich Road, Tarporley at about 6.50am today (13 February).

    The horse was hit by a silver Vauxhall Astra. The female driver was taken to Leighton Hospital in Crewe with a neck injury.

    Police confirmed the horse had escaped from a nearby field onto the road and was owned by a woman in Kelsall.

    A police spokesman said: Police were called following a report that there was a dead horse in the middle of the road. On arrival at the scene police discovered the horse had been involved in a collision with a car.
