Ben Maher rebuffs rumours of Rolette being sold

  • Ben Maher has confirmed to H&H that his Olympic ride, Rolette, has not been sold and will stay at his Hertfordshire yard “for the foreseeable future”.

Rumours abounded last week that the mare had been sold following her good performance in Hong Kong.

“Any horse that goes well in the Olympics is likely to generate interest,” he said. “But my relationship with her owner, Daniel Paul, is better than ever, and she will stay with me for the foreseeable future.”

Ben said the 10-year-old mare would now have a short rest before probably heading to the Horse of the Year Show next month.
