FEI tightens up anti-doping strategy prior to Olympic Games

  • Riders can now be suspended from competition following a positive A sample test for doping and medication rather than having to wait for a positive B test, the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has announced.

The FEI has pledged its intention to tighten up its anti-doping strategy for this year’s Olympics.

Urine samples will be tested from the leading three horses in each discipline, as well as further random tests — around 55 tests per 200 horses.
