Comply Or Die and Miinnehoma to parade at Wincanton

  • Two past Grand National winners will take centre stage for their fans at Wincanton racecourse this Sunday (20 April).

The 2008 winner Comply or Die will be joined by 1994 winner Miinnehoma in the parade ring at 3pm.

Now 25 years old Miinnehoma is the oldest surviving Grand National winner and enjoys his retirement just down the road from David Pipe’s Pond House Stables in Somerset, where he was trained by David’s father Martin.

Comply or Die was one of only 15 out of 40 starters to finish this year’s race giving trainer David Pipe, jockey Timmy Murphy and owner David Johnson all a first success in the race, winning by four lengths from King Johns Castle.
