Springsteen to sort out argument over horse with US show jumper

  • Rock star Bruce Springsteen has reportedly paid $200,000 to US Olympic show jumper Todd Minikus to bring to an end the pair’s wrangle over an $850,000 horse.

Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa were sued by Mr Minikus after they allegedly reneged on a deal to buy a horse from the rider for their daughter Jessica Spingsteen.

The couple had paid a $25,000 deposit on Pavarotti owned by Mr Minikus, who was a member of the US show jumping squad at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

But they later returned the horse saying it was not right for the 16-year-old.

The New York Post has reported that Mr Springsteen has now agreed to pay Mr Minikus $200,000 although Pavarotti was returned to Mr Minikus.
