The chief executive of the British Show Jumping Association (BSJA) has today received an OBE from the Queen.
The BSJA’s Jacky Wood received her OBE for services to sport at Buckingham Palace this afternoon. She has devoted almost 40 years of her life to show jumping in Britain.
“It was a great honour and privilege and I am grateful to those who supported my nomination,” said Jacky.
Having started her career as BSJA secretary, Jacky quickly rose to chief executive of the association. In 1986 she was awarded the British Equestrian Federation’s Medal of Honour.
