Search is on to find Britain’s groom of the year

  • Nominations are being invited for the fifth Kuster British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Groom’s Award.

Any groom can enter for a chance to win the first prize of £1,000 in holiday vouchers and a bronze trophy. Second prize is £300 and third prize £200.

This year there will also be a newcomer award for grooms who are “new to the industry but who also show exceptional dedication and commitment”.

Ten finalists and their guests will be invited to attend a final judging day, which includes a champagne lunch, where they will be interviewed by two judges, former jockey and TV presenter Richard Pitman and dressage rider Sandy Phillips.

The winners will be presented with their prizes at the London International Horse Show at Olympia on 19 December.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from www.bef.co.uk. The closing date is 26 November.
