Horse riding returns to New York’s famous Central Park

  • Horse riding has returned to New York’s Central Park following an agreement by the Parks Department.

After the closure of Claremont Riding Academy in April due to financial pressures, the Riverdale Equestrian Centre is now offering horse riding by appointment, including guided trail rides at $100 an hour.

Anthony Zumpano, manager of the Riverdale Equestrian Centre, said the trail rides have been a success and they have worked closely with the Central Park Group to stop bridleway congestion.
