    • Robert Whitaker continued to fly the family flag at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) when riding Lacroix to win Friday night’s hoys.co.uk Cup.

    The Yorkshireman had it all to do from final draw after Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten set a tremendous target on Audi’s Naomi, but he produced one of those rounds where everything goes right to capture the £4,500 prize by more than 3sec.

    “Lacroix is definitely my number one horse. On his day, there’s nothing he can’t jump,” said Robert.
