Two horses are recovering after being attacked by dogs in their field last Thursday (28 June).
Rosie, seven, and Percy, four, were grazing in their field in Macclesfield when the attack took place.
A witness saw two dogs, an Alaskan Malamute and a Greyhound, run into the field and jump on to the horses backs, frightening them so much that they jumped out of their paddock and galloped on to a main road, the A537. The dogs chased after the horses before running off.
Rosies owner, Kate Egan, said that the pair had a lucky escape.
I dont know how they didnt get hit as they were out on the road during rush hour, she said.
Anyone who has any information about the incident or who thinks they know where the dogs came from should ring Cheshire police (tel: 0845 458 0000).
