The following awards were presented at British Dressages AGM at Leamington Spa on 6 June.
Show awards were given to three venues based on nominations from the readers of British Dressage magazine. They are awarded on the basis of atmosphere, efficiency including the speed with which results are put up, and the quality of facilities at these venues Myerscough College, Lancashire, Kingston Maurward, Dorset (Julie Rickman) and The Grange EC, Devon (Dave Reddan).
Volunteer awards were also based on nominations made by readers of British Dressage magazine and are made on the basis of the contribution these individuals make to the dressage scene through their hard Chris Hurst, Sally Merrison, Barbara Angel, Jeanne Hooper, Mike West, Phyllis Beattie, Shona MacKenzie, Lorraine Grant, David Ferguson, Tristan Lock-Williams, Geoff & Carrol Simpson, Malcolm Brown, Eleanor Collins, Gloria Harrison, Diane Miller, Ros Smith, Gill Gallagher, Cathy Wright, Andrew Tait, Patricia Kinsey, Carol Green and Jane Hoskins. Young volunteer awards were presented to Rebecca Thomas and Mary Liversidge.
Both former parlympic director Jane Goldsmith and Chairman of the British Dressage supporters club Penny Smith received outstanding contribution awards.
The Dr Elizabeth Woodward award to recognise the highest placed under-21 rider last year on the small tour rankings went to Anne-Marie Perry.
