British eventers named for Olympic test event

  • Amy Young (pictured), Amanda Ratcliffe and Caroline Moore have been named as the three British event riders who will travel to the 2008 Olympics test event in Hong Kong this August (news, 30 November 2006).

The event will run as a CIC** but is a key part of preparations for the three Olympic disciplines and one Paralympic discipline.

British Equestrian Federation (BEF) performance director Will Connell said: “This event will provide us with vital information that will assist us in optimising our plans for Hong Kong.”

The trip is being organised and funded by the BEF through the World Class Programme.
