Equestrian and country television channel Horse & Country TV (HCTV) has launched a competition for would-be programme makers.
HCTV is inviting the public to submit ideas for short documentaries on equestrian or country issues they believe to be important. Selected programme makers will then be given basic equipment and training to film their story.
After a polish by an H&C editor, the programmes will be broadcast on digital satellite and broadband, and the public will decide a winner who will receive a free camcorder (worth £3,500) or the cash equivalent.

H&C moves to Sky
HCTV will be launching on Sky in July after leaving its previous home, Solent TV.
Transmission problems at Solent led to the move and the station will start broadcasting on Sky at noon on Monday, 2 July.
HCTV founder Nick Ludlow said: “It’s been a roller-coaster ride, but to have the official launch date is a major breakthrough.”
HCTV will be free to all viewers with a basic Sky package and will be broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
