Scotland to host working hunter pony international

  • A working hunter pony international is to be held at Oatridge Agricultural College, near Edinburgh, on 5 August.

Junior teams, made up of ponies and riders from the three open height classes — 133cm, 143cm and 153cm — and intermediate level, will be selected to represent Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.

Previous international team competitors include current Olympic show jumping champion Rodrigo Pessoa and Ireland’s Jessica Kurten.

Chairman of the British Show Pony Society Scotland Joyce Coltart said: “Chances to represent your nation in the showing world don’t come up often and it’s a wonderful opportunity for our youngsters to test themselves in a team situation.”
