Tickets are now on sale for Royal Windsor Horse Show (10-13 May), the first major outdoor event of the season.
Set exclusively within the grounds of Windsor Castle, the four-day show provides visitors with a rare glimpse of what lies behind the castle walls. And with more show jumping classes, a gala evening and a lavish fireworks display, this year’s show is guaranteed to be action-packed.
The exciting six bar show jumping class will be returning this year along with dressage, polo and the Accenture Young Rider show jumping class. International and national carriage driving, supported by Land Rover, will run over the course of the four days – a short walk will lead visitors to the heart of the action where teams of horses and ponies tear around marathon obstacles and through water.
Arena displays this year will include the beautiful Lusitanos from Portugal, the Shetland Pony Grand National and the Musical Drive of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery. The show will draw to a close with the spectacular firework display held on Sunday evening.
Foodies and shoppers will be pleased to know that the Royal Windsor Food and Drink Festival will be returning for a second year, featuring some of the very best food and drink producers around today. More than 200 hand-picked vendors will fill the shopping village, selling everything from saddles to antiques.
