The rescue was a joint operation by National Equine Welfare Council members including the British Horse Society, Blue Cross, Bransby Horses, Essex Horse & Pony Protection Society, HAPPA, the Horse Trust, Redwings, the RSPCA, the Donkey Sanctuary and Thornberry Animal Sanctuary
