Jessica Mendoza, born in 1996, enjoyed a prolific pony and junior career in showjumping before recently stepping up to senior competition.
She won a team gold medal riding the great pony Tixylix at the 2012 European Pony Showjumping Championships. Since then she has gone onto win team bronze at the 2013 junior European Championships and team gold and individual silver at the 2014 junior European Championships riding Spirit T, who she produced herself.
Jessica Mendoza represented Great Britain at the 2015 Senior European Championships in Aachen on Spirit T, where she helped the British team finish in fourth place to claim their qualification for the Rio Olympics. Jessica and Spirit T have been selected as the travelling reserves for Rio as well as being part of the British Nations Cup squad for Hickstead (29 July).
