Following much debate over dressage judging, the Netherlands has set up an innovative way to train judges
Jump straight to the latest news from the Global Dressage Forum
The Global Dressage Forum was first held in 2001 and has since become an annual event where top trainers, riders, officials and dressage enthusiasts from around the world met in Hooge Mierde, The Netherlands for both theoretical and practical demonstrations. The 14th annual forum will continue in the same vein, but will be hosted at the Blue Horse stud in Randbøl, Denmark instead.
The Global Dressage Forum 2014 takes place on 20-21 October with double world champion Charlotte Dujardin present on both days to take part in the panel discussions and to share her amazing story in an interview with Richard Davison.
Rising dressage star, 25-year-old WEG team gold medallist Fabienne Lütkemeier and her mother, former WEG team gold medallist Gina Capellmann, will share their story and training methods. Richard Davison will talk to Gina and Fabienne in an open-hearted interview to find out more about how they inspire each other, their road to success, and why have they not always followed the same path as their colleagues.
Top Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen will bring a younger horse to the Forum to demonstrate her schooling of talented horses, while international dressage rider and trainer Lars Petersen will take the audience through the training of talented young horses up to the highest level of dressage. In this clinic Petersen will be assisted by professional riders from Blue Hors Dressage and their quality horses at three different training levels – from young talents through to grand prix.
