Unex Towerlands senior premier jumping show

  • Michael Whitaker’s yard dominated the major classes at the Unex Towerlands Premier Show.

Michael (pictured right) finished first and second in the grand prix with Insultech Up To Date and Insultech Quidame Des Hayettes. His nephew, William, took the top Royal International B and C ticket riding Quartz Adelheid Z. Michael’s stable-jockey, James Billington, won the young rider classic on Lady Des Hayettes, ahead of another of Michael’s pupils, Mary-Jo Crawford riding Vardiljo Van Der Bosrand.

Guy Williams predictably gained several wins, while Tim Stockdale — like Michael Whitaker, warming up for World Cup shows — headed the winter grade C on Cassia and won another two classes with the stallion Drossage.
