Tom Hudson’s death mourned by show jumping supporters


  • THE show jumping world has lost one of its biggest characters with the death of Tom Hudson on Friday, 1 August. He was 67.

    Mr Hudson commentated at top events worldwide and was regarded by many as one of the voices of show jumping. He was also an International Equestrian Federation (FEI) judge and served on many BSJA committees.

    Mr Hudson was a founder and organiser of the BSJA’s stallion and mare show and a committee member for the London Olympia Horse Show. Recently he served as Olympia’s president of the ground jury.

    In 2005, Mr Hudson was presented with the Ryan’s Son trophy for his services to show jumping.
