The great and the good of British showjumping joined the Whitaker family to celebrate the marriage of Michael and Melissa last week
Four generations of Whitakers plus assorted guests descended on Nottinghamshire last week (13 August) for the wedding of Michael Whitaker and his long-term partner Melissa Braybrooke.
After exchanging vows in a registry office, the new Mr and Mrs Whitaker hosted a marquee reception at their home. The happy couple’s son Jack took on the responsibility of best man while daughters Molly and Katie acted as bridesmaids.
Riders such as Geoff Billington, Malcolm Pyrah and Nick Skelton were in attendance as well as the extended Whitaker clan — from Enid Whitaker, mother of John, Michael, Steven and Ian, to the youngest members Evie (daughter of Robert) and Isabella (daughter of William).
