Darby Ward won the Kitt-Kraiburg Junior Sapphire qualifier at Stainsby Grange, Cleveland (9-11 November) on her new ride First Lady Du Geer, by pulling off two daring turns and taking a stride out to the last.
This was followed by another impressive performance from a new partnership, this time Jordan Nason on Regan Willett’s Another Dooley, who took the Coral qualifier from fourth draw. Pippa Allen filled the next two places with Farouk Van De Shanshoeve and Razorlite II.
The Blue Chip Pro JC/JA qualifier developed into a three-way jump-off. Ria Ginley and Saucy Shenanigans produced the only double clear to win and finished second with her new
ride Muscovite II. Lara Whiteway and Applejax Mr Ed were third.
