Horse & Hound to increase overseas jumping coverage

  • Attention showjumping fans! This week H&H will start providing regular coverage from the leading overseas shows.

The first report will be the five-star FEI Nations Cup show at Falsterbo, Sweden, from the preceding weekend.

Increasing numbers of British riders spend more time overseas — we need to reflect this in our coverage,” said H&H Editor Lucy Higginson.

“And with the Olympics coming to London and a huge British audience next year, we are eager to help readers learn more about the world’s top showjumping stars, many of whom rarely compete on British soil.”

Besides mini profiles of top or up-and-coming horses and riders, and a weekly guest comment from a British rider, owner or trainer familiar with the show, the weekly series will convey the characteristics, special features, novelty classes, stand-out fences and unique features of each show.

Our existing Brits Abroad page will continue to provide a reports service for all the other top shows and showcase riders’ overseas achievements in every discipline.
