Beerbaum heads World rankings


  • Ludger Beerbaum retains his lead in the FEI Gandini World Jumping Rankings

    Top German show jumper Ludger Beerbaum has retained his place at the top of the FEI Gandini World JumpingRankings for a whole year.

    Ludger has 3224 points, 761 more than Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa (2463), who has moved into second place ahead of Belgium’s Ludo Philippaerts (2353).

    The strength of Germany’s show jumpers is clear with four riders in the top 10. Lars Nieberg retains fourth place with 2273 points, Franke Sloothaak slipped one place to eighth while Marcus Ehning moved up two places to 10th.

    Markus Fuchs (SUI) has swapped positions (from sixth to fifth place) with fellow countryman Willi Melliger, who has been suffering from back problems.

    Sweden’s Rolf-G”ran Bengtsson continues his progression, moving up from eighth to seventh place. Michael Whitaker retains his ninth place.
